NEW FAST PITCH Pitching Instructor!Grace Wigton Grace Wigton earned All-District and All-State Honors in 2003 while playing at Worthington Christian High School, then pitched at Wittenberg University from 2003-2007 where she was named the “Most Inspirational Player of the Year”. She was a two time captain and 4 year letter winner. graduating from Wittenberg with a degree in business management and pre-law, Wigton is currently pursuing her masters in education administration at OSU and is the varsity pitching coach at Bishop Hartley High School. We are happy to have her on staff to provide private and group pitching lessons.

Team/Group Instruction Although each group/team may vary in their respective training goals, all instruction will generally be a combination of the following: - Evaluation- Instructors will have players perform drills designed to pinpoint strengths and areas that need improvement
- Understand Fundamental Absolutes- Players will learn the correct movements and adjustments necessary to complete the task
- Fault Correction- Redirecting movements and muscle memory through use of appropriate drills and practice routines
- Mental Strategies- It is important to balance the mechanical training with information and knowledge relating to both the positive and negative experiences players will encounter. How to get out of hitting slumps, the inability of pitchers to throw strikes, team chemistry etc are examples of areas that can be addressed in training sessions
